About us

We are a young youth-led organization that works on the empowerment and development of girls, boys, and youth to be able to participate in creating sustainable peace through addressing the root causes and effects of violent conflict, prevention of violent extremism, tolerance, and promoting cooperative approaches to Youth, Peace, and Security Agenda. IDI primarily focuses on girls, boys, and young women of the grassroots communities and further encompasses the diverse community as a whole. We take an intersectionality approach to sustainable peace and justice by elevating resilient girls, boys, and young women to be able to take the shape of their destinies to be transformational leaders and active citizens.

Our Mission

We create solutions and platforms that empower girls and boys to prevent and respond to violent conflict, extremism and contribute to sustainable peace and development through exchange learning, and knowledge mobilization, dialogues, economic development policy, advocacy, rehabilitation, and training.
