During Ushirika platforms, the participants share stories and reveal their inner insecurities, disclose their deepest regrets, struggles, and fears, and the team offers emotional support. 

Sports for Peace Program

Promoting social cohesion through sports for peace to transform harmful convictions, rebuild trust, and appropriate inclusive narratives in local communities to transform peace through a sports lens. 

Youth And Women’s Participation in Climate Change Mitigation 

IDI implements programs geared towards enhancing women’s participation in climate change mitigation and adaptation. Globally, the impacts of climate change are exacerbating conditions that threaten peace and security. 

 Kyoto/Campfire Discourse (Imara Arcs)

We conduct quarterly campfire conversations, also known as the IMARA ARCS, and these allow participants, especially youth and women victims of violence, to communicate with each other and download their grievances and feelings

Strengthening Youth & Women’s Health Security Program

 The COVID-19 pandemic revealed the staggering impact health crises have on youth, women, and vulnerable groups. 

 Media Engagement Program (MEP)

 Inspire A Dream initiative (IDI) has built a strong partnership with the different media houses in Uganda to champion discussions that foster youth and women empowerment and their active participation in public affairs. 

Training Youth & Young Women in Leadership, Peace-Building & Conflict Management

 Sustainable development cannot be achieved without peace, stability, and effective governance. Conflict and violence have a destructive impact on a country’s development, with citizens bearing the burden of insecurity and injustice.

Economic Empowerment  Program for Youth & Women

This program supports the social and economic empowerment of youth & women through community-based savings groups that help members save money, access credit, develop financial literacy, and invest in income-generating activities

 Annual National Conference on Youth's Peace and Security (YPS)

 IDI periodically conducts the Annual National Conference on Youth, Peace, and Security to shine a spotlight on the various youth, Women, Peace, and Security events occurring in the country and the region at large.
