At Inspire A Dream Initiative, we empower youth women, and vulnerable communities to lead the charge toward sustainable communities. By integrating peacebuilding, economic empowerment, and climate action, Sports, Schools and Hospitals, we create the conditions for communities to not only survive but to thrive—sustainably and from within.

We empower youth and women from grassroots communities to become pillars of peaceful and thriving societies. Through peacebuilding, capacity building, climate action, and improved livelihoods, we address root causes of conflict and create opportunities for sustainable development.

Their World
Inspire A Dream Initiative (IDI), also known as Inspire a Dream Africa, is a youth-led, locally-inspired non-profit founded in 2019 in rural Eastern Uganda. It empowers youth, women, refugees and internally displaced persons through peacebuilding, sustainable livelihoods, climate action, education and community health.
IDI operates across rural Eastern Uganda, anchored in Mayuge and the wider Busoga region, and is supported by friends and partners from all over the world.
IDI was founded in 2019 by a group of young leaders and refugees who shared a vision of a world where every person, regardless of background, can live with dignity, opportunity and hope.
IDI's work is organised into three themes: Peacebuilding, Governance & Alternative Dispute Resolution; Socio-Economic Empowerment, Education & Climate; and Psychosocial Healing & Community Well-being. These span school peace clubs, vocational skills, schools, smart agriculture, renewable energy, biodegradable Bambusa Pads, health services and trauma-healing campfire conversations.
